Social Awareness Campaign

The Brief:
Father a Nation (FAN) is a non-profit organisation that addresses gender-based violence and fatherlessness by educating men on positive masculinity. Our team’s task was to create a social awareness campaign that highlighted FAN’s work and encouraged corporate funding to support its mission.
The Solution:
Research shows that men with abusive or absent fathers are more likely to continue the same harmful behaviours, contributing to gender-based violence, toxic masculinity and negative male role models for boys. Breaking this cycle requires fostering positive male influences to set new standards of nonviolent and gentlemen-like behaviour.
The ‘Be a Gent’ campaign redefines what it means to be a modern gentleman by replacing toxic societal norms, like the “Bro Code”, with new principles of respect and empathy. Through poster designs and stickers, the campaign decided to rewrite the code, inspiring men to adopt positive behaviours and become strong male role models who will ‘lead with respect, inspire like true gents’.
