The Brief:
To create a social media campaign to promote Comic Con Africa’s 2024 Festival, a pop culture event where attendees can explore various fandoms, gaming, cosplays and more. The social awareness campaign had to tell a visual narrative that captivated and resonated with viewers and Comic Con Africa fans alike.
The Solution:
Comic Con Africa fans are united by the build-up and excitement of the festival – whether it’s suiting up in cosplay, powering up their gaming rigs, or mapping out their festival activities to, celebrate their favourite characters and fandoms, together.
The ‘Boot Up, Show Up’ campaign captures the excitement of Comic Con Africa symbolising the anticipation of preparation and encouraging fans to ‘boot up’ their cosplay shoes or gaming PCs. With Facebook adverts and TikTok reels, the campaign told a vibrant visual story of Comic Con Africa while highlighting the energy fans bring to the festival. The campaign united fans in the thrill of getting ready for the ultimate adventures at Comic Con Africa!
